I started Soothing Jewels® after spending more than 15 years as a marketing professional, and it was the perfect time for me to start the business because I was desperate to find bath and body products that would address my dry skin problems.
After relocating to Colorado from Italy, I found myself dealing with extremely dry skin as a result of the dry climate. I had tried a number of products, looking for the perfect combination of moisturizers and skin nourishing properties for my skin. Disappointed in the lack of results, it inspired me to start researching raw materials and ingredients. I was determined to find raw materials and/or products that met all of my skin needs.
After researching commonly used ingredients such as Parabens, Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SLS), and Sodium Laureth Sulfate (SLES), which are found in most bath and beauty products, I was horrified at what I learned. SLS and SLES are esters of Sulphuric Acid. SLES is commonly contaminated with Dioxane, a known carcinogen. Although SLES is somewhat less irritating than SLS, it cannot be metabolized by the liver. Parabens are preservative chemicals that have been linked to properties found in breast tumors, and mimic the estrogen hormone known to cause breast cancer. Parabens are used in cosmetics and even some foods to increase shelf life.
As a result, I became more determined than ever to create a product line that would not only address dry skin, but that would actually be good for the skin. So, I set out to find the best skin nourishing raw ingredients I could locate, and began formulating test batches, speaking with industry professionals, and doing more research. I reformulated my recipes until I felt I had the perfect mix. And, Soothing Jewels® was born.
You will not find petroleum, binders, or any other unnecessary fillers in our products. Nothing is ever added that degrades the natural benefits of the raw materials we use. We only include the best vitamin enriched, natural minerals, and skin rejuvenation ingredients in our products.
As for the name Soothing Jewels®, that was inspired by my mother, Jewel, who embodies taste, strength, and elegance. The name also reflects the richness of our product line.
I feel I have accomplished a lot in my life, such as attaining a BA in Journalism: Mass Communications, with a minor in political science, a Master’s degree in International Education (Magna Cum Laude), teaching business to undergraduate and graduate level students, and mentoring college women and youth. But, the passion I have for creating quality bath and body products is immeasurable.
I hope you will enjoy our products as much as we do.
Many Blessings & Abundant Peace!

About Our Products
Due to the natural composition of our quality products, slight variations in color, scent and texture may occur.
Since we do not use binders and fillers in our products, our body butters should be stored in a cool place, away from direct sunlight and heat to avoid melting down. If the butter melts, it will harden again once cooled, and may still be used with the same level of effectiveness.
Soothing Jewels products are designed to rejuvenate and nourish skin cells, reduce the appearance of fine lines, smooth, and moisturize the skin. The body butters are raw creams that allow the users to feel the natural textures of each quality ingredient.
The bath salts are made using same wonderful oils, Dead Sea and spa salts, and the finest organic herbs. These salts make for an absolutely delectable bath experience, leaving the skin silky smooth.
Some customers have even experienced relief of skin conditions such as eczema and psoriasis. Best of all, the scents are subtle enough to allow users to layer with their favorite fragrances and not have to worry about the scents clashing.
Soothing Jewels products are truly unique, guaranteed to provide users results that are long lasting and effective. No artificial colors or dyes are added to any of the products, therefore, the natural colors of the raw materials may vary resulting in a slight color variation of the finished products. Products should be stored in a cool place. The ideal temperature storage is between 60 and 72 degrees. Body butters can be refrigerated or frozen to extend shelf life. No animal testing.
